Also, avoid immersing them in water for long. Even leaving cotton sarees in the sun light might lead to color fading. The best way to retain their color is to starch them after every wash.
Equal amount of care is required during the laundering process of Chiffon Sarees. If you choose to give them a hand wash at home, avoid twisting it. During the hand wash process, just sink the sarees in water, swirl them lighly and then gently squeeze out the water and hang them for drying. Moreover, one should never wrap them too tightly and should also avoid using saree pins as they might tear their fabric.
